Exploring Charles Darwin’s theory of Evolution and David Attenborough’s First Life documentary; this art unit will explore print making using polystyrene tiles. The unit begins by researching the artist, Iori Tomita and his interesting method in preparing his specimens. The children will recreate an animal x-ray using toothpicks and string. Finally, the children will work on developing a final idea and recreating a final piece using both printing ink and poster paint (neon colours) on both black and white paper.

A planning unit.

Planning is good but there are no resources to go with it. It would be good to share the images you have shown on your overview to allow teachers to create ppts to share with their class. There is very little information for this particular artist - it would be useful to share where the information has come from to create the artist study you have advertised
