Jim and the Beanstalk story resource pack

The pack includes:

Display resources
Banner- a long colourful banner for your display
Display border- a border for you to print out as many times as you need to use on a display board of any size
Characters- large coloured pictures of the characters in the story ‘Jim and Beanstalk’ to add to your display
Story words- as set of word cards with words relating to the story- great to add to your display or use on your writing area
Story questions- a set of decorated cards with questions about the story

Face masks- a set of coloured masks for retelling the story of ‘Jim and the Beanstalk’ or for making up new stories

Literacy

A4 word card- an A4 sized card with words and pictures about the story ‘Jim and the Beanstalk’- great to use when writing
Coin alphabet line- an alphabet line on giant coins to print out and display
Worksheets- various worksheets including a book review, writing and drawing about a favourite part of the story, drawing what happens next etc.
Writing pages- four photocopiable sheets with borders for the children to write about the story or to include in your writing area
Letter to Jim- write a letter to Jim on this decorated note paper
Design a book cover- design your own cover for the book

Numeracy

Tape measure number line- create a long number line for your classroom that looks like a tape measure
Worksheets- fill in the missing numbers on the tape measures, measuring worksheets, add the numbers on the coins
Make your own tape measure- add numbers to the tape measure and then use to measure different things in the classroom

Power points

Story questions- answer the questions about the story and click on the correct answer
Counting Power point- count the number of objects on each page and click on the correct answer

Beanstalk game- a game for two players to try to reach the top of the beanstalk first
Create a giant- take it in turns to reveal a new wig, teeth or glasses and see if they are needed for your giant
