Johnny Appleseed’s Apple on a Fall Branch

Students will be able to celebrate the return of the crisp autumn air and the tale of Johnny Appleseed by transforming each of themselves into Mr. Appleseed and Ms. Appleseed to continue in the footsteps of the legendary Johnny Appleseed and his positive message about sharing and caring for the apple trees. They will be “growing” their very own apple that hangs from a branch as well as plant and count the seeds needed inside the core of this special message of sharing that Mr. Appleseed has brought to us that resonates to this day and beyond from generation to generation! A learning objective, subject summary and application in real life, materials needed for each student and the step by step directions needed to create this lesson are all detailed in each of my lesson plans.
