Created for Year 7 and executed very well with this year. However could be used for Year 6 for the more challenging pupils and can be adapted for EAL.

18 lessons with resources, comprehension questions included for each chapter with challenge included.
Also included unit assessment with model assessment response slide too.
It will support the pupils to explore and understand:
Discrimination and its forms
Apartheid and its impact - the historic issues
Trauma regarding young adults
The fight for equality
Looking at grief and hope within the novel
Looking at the different activist who worked for human rights
Also included youtube links and TedTalk videos for more information and support understanding
Skills of writing a letter, speech, newspaper article and diary entry.
