A jungle safari word mat to aid creative writing with pictures and useful vocabulary. Aim - to help stimulate children's imaginations so they can write more independently and to increase their vocabulary. The second one is to aid a piece of non-fiction writing. Children write about what objects they would take on a jungle safari, describing each and explaining why they would take it. Challenge them to use vocabulary from each box for each object. This resource is on ppt so it can be displayed to the whole class. It can also be printed out or photo copied for individual use. Fully editable.
