These lessons explore British Law in relation to the new RSE guidelines and address OFSTED links to British Values/Prevent. They were build alongside StopHateUK They aim to empower students regarding their rights and teach them how to respond to extremist ideas and Hate Crime:

Lesson 1: Protected Characteristics and Hate Crimes- Students explore the law regarding Protected Communities and look at how to respond to Hate Crimes/Speech in the community.

Lesson 2: Explores Freedom of Speech- What is the law in the UK and why is that different to the USA

Lesson 3: Extremism- How do we respond to extremist speech in a positive way. This includes a debate.

Lesson 4: Fake News- How to think critically to counter Fake News online. This lesson includes the creation of a wall display.

Lesson 5: British Values in the classroom. Some games exploring how British Values can be practised in the classroom.
