These are 2 lessons in a set of 13 based around Hazards for Key Stage 3.
Lessons are designed to last 1 hour and should provide a challenging introduction to Hazards.
L7. Assessment: this includes a question paper (and full mark scheme) aimed to assess students progress with this unit. This has been placed mid-unit to fit in with school timetable and reduce end of half-term workload but could be used at the end of the unit. Questions range from shorter one mark/multiple choice to longer written responses using a photo source. Several skills marks are available e.g. climate graph completion and analysis. This assessment is designed to be marker friendly and students will be able to self/peer mark many of the questions with ease.
L8. Feedback: this includes a powerpoint with mark scheme that students can work through. This could be used as a peer assessment opportunity as model answers are provided. Further stretch/review questions are included and the assessment has reflection space e.g. WWW, targets.
