KS3 Roald Dahl Short Stories

PowerPoint presentation containing 127 slides based on the following Roald Dahl short stories:

• The Landlady
• Lamb to the Slaughter
• Skin
• Man from the South

I initially used this with a Year 7 class, but it could be pitched at a higher level if necessary.

The unit of work covers creative and analytical writing, with the occasional drama activity thrown in for good measure. There are a number of places where you would need to edit the slides:

• Slide 29 references a Padlet that the students have to contribute to. I’ve taken out my Padlet - you will have to include yours, or Padlet alternative.
• There are several mentions of page numbers - you will have to alter these according to the page numbers of wherever you sources the texts from.
• The preparation for assessment / assessment / assessment feedback slides are specific to my school’s assessment policies. You would need to edit these so that they fit in with whatever you school has in place.
