This activity will get the children moving around the class, going on a length hunt where they will select an object, estimate the length and then measure it using appropriate instruments of measurement. They will then record the length using appropriate units.
This can be done in groups, pairs or as an individual.
Can be used as an introduction activity to get the children used to measuring using different instruments.
