Great resource, thank you. I used it with top set year 9s as part of a double lesson on looking back over chapter 1 and reading chapter 2. We did the foreshadowing activities (bar Lion King) before reading Chapter 2 of novel. The discussions we had relating to the Alma film were very productive, and I think the students appreciated having a change mid-lesson. Discussions fed into our reading of Chapter 2, where we focused on the (heavy) foreshadoing going on there, before going on to write an anlalytical paragraph on the sentence in the ppt and peer reviewing it. I also looked at a model answer with them.
