The most excitement I experience teaching First Grade is when we begin our Letter Writing Unit. The children write real letters to friends and businesses then wait for their responses. It’s a load of fun and teaches authentically.
Included in this packet are directions for how to write post-cards, friendly letters, business letters, how to address envelopes, a template for use in your class for a business letter writing campaign and a letter to parents requesting the address of a friend or family member.
