A two week block of Outstanding Literacy planning based around the text 'Flotsam' by David Wiesner. A range of incidental writing including storytelling, character description, play script, diary entries, descriptive setting, fantasy story and a non-chronological report. I used this with Year 4 but can easily be adapted for Y3, Y5 or Y6. Individual lesson attached graded 'Oustanding' in performance management observations and by Ofsted.

First few lessons are good quality but having 6 lessons writing a fantasy story is far too excessive and repetitive. With 13 lessons in total way over 2weeks work. Some good cross curricular links but requires heavy editing and unfortunately not worth £6, but as with many resources on here now, overpriced. As stated by others there are no examples of SC or links to PPT. One lesson may have been outstanding but not the unit
A little disappointed for the money I would have expected the referred to powerpoint and work etc.

Worth the money paid - using this for a 2 week literacy plan with year 5 - great ideas and easily made for the new curriculum Y5 expectations - thank you :) would have been great to have had the whiteboards/ppts too!
