Created by Voiceless, the animal protection institute, Animal Protection Education (APE) provides students and teachers with the information they need to understand and discuss the live animal export trade including the welfare issues it poses to animals, how it is regulated and considerations about the future of the trade.
With all the resources linked to the Australian Curriculum, teachers from a range of subjects are able to educate high school students in Years 9-10.
The Across Land and Sea: Live Export Explained Fact Sheet is a comprehensive introduction to the live animal export trade to encourage critical thinking in the classroom.
