Long “i” worksheet

A worksheet with igh, i_ and y phonemes where children “write the room”.
Give a copy of the first sheet to each child/ pairs, then cut out and stick up one of the picture cards round the room / outdoor space. The children must find a picture and write the word for the picture in the corresponding box.

This is most appropriate after spelling rules have been taught so the children know which phoneme to use.
