Vocabulary: 狗 (dog)，猫(cat)，鸟(bird)，没(negative of '有')，有 (to have)，只 (measure word for various animals), 一 (1)，二 (2)，两 (a couple of)，三 (3)，四 (4)，五 (5) (total: 30 words) (total number of characters: 31)
Differentiation: 山羊 (goat), 绵羊 (sheep) (total: 32 words) (total number of characters: 46)

Objective 1: Recall the three animals studied (five for more able speakers)
Objective 2: Recall the numbers from 1-5 in Mandarin Chinese
Objective 3: Familiarisation with the distinction between '二' and '两'
Objective 4: Awareness of the use of measure words

Present each item of vocabulary and the students repeat each item. There are games and exercises which follow.
