Math Word Problems Bundle! For Close Reading--choosing the operation and solving

Students often struggle with determining which math operation (add, subtract, multiply, divide) to use to solve word problems. Learning basic operations is important in math, but what is essential is to be able to determine which operation is needed to solve a specific word problem.

I organized and created this bundle to give students practice to gain skills by using math Key Words to determine the operation needed to solve word problems.

-The word problems in this bundle are from the Grade 4 EngageNY/Eureka Math Modules 1 & 3 (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and are mixed in random order with a few word problems that I created. There are one-step word problems, as well as two-step word problems.

This bundle includes:

-7 Word documents with 8 - 10 problems on each document

-All 7 documents consist of a total of 66 word problems (1 step and multi-step problems), answer keys, and a matching Smart Board document

-Math Key Words handouts/poster & Smart Board document (for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)

-Grade 4 Modules 1-7 Vocabulary document for parents and students

-Eight Math Practices handout/poster
