Mini ESL unit about music. Students will discuss in pairs and as a class with two different speaking activities. They will learn 18 different types of music. They will find out facts about music through wordles, crosswords and other puzzles. A pre-reading and reading activity about the history of reggae music is included. The unit ends with a small research and writing task.
►LEARNING OUTCOMES◄
GENERAL: Students will learn plenty of new vocabulary words through engaging and challenging activities. They will work individually, in pairs or in small groups to include variety in lesson dynamics.
SPECIFIC: While studying this mini unit, they will get their juices flowing while discussing about music and how important it is in our life. They will discover 8 amazing facts about music and learn 18 different music genre. They will also learn about reggae and Bob Marley through unscrambling and gap filling activities. They will, then, engage in a descriptive piece of writing to describe their favorite music genre.
