My City is Not A Problem

This lesson resource pack is based on the Inventive Podcast.

Larissa Suzuki is a computer scientist, engineer and inventor. She works in big data and artificial intelligence and is a passionate believer in smart cities making life better for all. She also advocates for neurodivergent people within engineering and computer science.

Inspired by her work, Tim Maughan’s short story My City is Not A Problem focuses on the first AI system build for the public sector. It appears to know how to solve London’s problems better than its politicians.

The lesson pack comes with a teacher guide which includes information about the engineer and writer, links to podcast clips for use in class, and an outline of the activities with approximate timings.
