These are a few examples of reading assessments I created for my upper emergent and lower capable (phase 2 and 3, possibly 4) learners. They were for a unit on Influence and Perception with a focus on advertising on the one hand, and the other one was on Quests with Beowulf/graphic novels as one of the guiding texts.
The texts are not mine, although I adapted them heavily to suit my students’ reading level, and I have included the source for each one as a hyperlink in the document.
I took a slightly different approach with the use of images with the articles, but hopefully the text can still be considered multimodal.
There are two task-specific criteria documents attached as well.
