Name Recognition or Writing Template

I make these for each child in my class and have them accessible in my classroom. Whenever they need to add their name to their creations they can find their photo and then copy write their name. As the year goes on and children are able to recognise their name I either cover their photo or make a new flashcard without their name on to still support their writing. I usually have a version in my writing area too where their name is in light grey and they use the whiteboard pens to trace their name. Before laminiting them I add a dot to show them where to start forming each letter.
