I have created this planner to help my GCSE students with planning out the making of their final design. It is on Powerpoint so can be editted and shown to the class. I have also used this with my A level group with their NEA too. Best printed out on A3.
It has 4 pages:
Page 1: a space for the student to do a rough sketch of their design, plan and tick off what processes to use, a list of the materials they could use. I have also taken this as their teacher and photocopied it so I have a image of their final design.
Pages 2 and 3
Processes pages detailing the main processes used in schools, separated into materials. It lists the pros and cons of each of the processes and describes them briefly. It also has images to illustrate the processes
Page 4
Has a long list of material properties to help students explain in their NEA why they are using them. It also has a list of questions to help students consider and decide what materials they are going to use using the correct terminology.
