This is my all new Introduction to British Values ppt from SMSC4SCHOOLS.co.uk
This ppt explores:
1.The history of invasion, unification and immigration in Britain, as underpining the British values of openness and diversity.
2. The British values of tolerance and fairness, and where these values are demonstrated in British culture - sport, NHS, queuing, etc.
3. How diversity is reflected in modern Britain and the conclusions which can be drawn from census reports.
4. Explore historical developments such as Magna Carta, Reformation and the King James Bible as the cornerstone of justice and rule of law, and the origins of an open and fair culture.
5. Monarchy and literature - the contribution of Queen and Shakespeare.
6. Bill Bryson 'Notes form a Small Island' voted as the book which most accurately represents British culture; British humour and dogged optimism 'mustn't grumble'
7. Britain's relationship with the EU.
And more...
The popular British Values ppts (now updated for 2016) are free to download from either TES or SMSC4SCHOOLS.co.uk
However, the small charge of £7.00 for this new Introduction to British Values Autumn 2016 ppt will enable me to continue creating the other free resources.
It’s a very simple process to purchase through TES. As teachers, I know you will appreciate the time, research and creativity which has gone into the 38 slides of the presentation. This is a quality resource and you will not be disappointed.

Wow! A fantastic, interactive, thoroughly researched monster ppt on British values. Already downloaded previous resources by this author and am always impressed. This builds brilliantly upon the ideas outlined in SMSC4SCHOOLS other ppts - well worth the money. A huge thank you for creating this, will work well for my tutor group as well as my English class.
