Through photograph observation students can understand the difference in the landscape where water is controlled and managed and where there is no control. The sources and management of water are followed from source to the oasis area by studying the oasis map and by photograph evidence. Students are introduced to farming and settlement activities to emphasise the role of water in human survival. Questions are designed to allow students to give informed answers and make conclusions. This is a stand alone unit with the emphasis on observation and interpretation.
