A set of two lessons following Dynamo 1 Module 4 On fait la fête! First lesson focuses on cultural understanding of the origins of La Fête Nationale in France and challenges students to develop reading strategies to understand authentic texts. Students also have a chance to discuss some original sources and modern interpretations linked to the French Revolution. Lesson concludes with a creative activity. Second lesson focuses on how Bastille day is celebrated in France today and guides students to practice using the nou and ils form of regular ER verbs. Lesson concludes with an extended writing task complete with success criteria to facilitate self or peer assessment.
