This is an engaging scarecrow funny themed activity on operations on functions. Students are given 5 slides/pages to work on. Each slide/page contains 9 functions given in a table. Students type their answers in another table where are given 8 problems. 1 slide/page is adding functions, 2 slide/page is subtracting functions, 3 slide/page - multiplying functions, 4 slide/page - dividing functions and 5 slide/page are mixed operations. Functions included are linear, quadratic, cubic, rational, radical and exponential. (Students need to know how to perform operations with polynomials and rational expressions, rationalizing the denominator, dividing exponents, difference of squares formula, adding radicals to handle with the given problems).
This activity can be completed individually or students can work in pairs/groups.
Answer key is included.
