P6 Space: Core extraction lesson pack

Linking to the topic space, P6 pupils will be given a pretend sample from Mars and then take their own core samples. They will discover how scientists can use samples to learn information about a planet.

This pack includes:

• A differentiated lesson plan

• An explanation text about Mars Rovers
• A question sheet to fill in
• A ‘Make a Mars Lander’ activity
• Silly Science 7 minutes of terror activity
