Paragraphs- When and Why

A comprehensive PPT presentation on the use of paragraphs. Ideal for Year 6 SATs but would also work well for any other KS2/KS3/KS4 students needing to know about paragraphs. The presentation has 4 lesson outcomes which could be delivered over one lesson or divided into smaller chunks (learning reflection/mini-plenaries included for each learning outcome). The resource looks briefly at the importance of paragraphs and then talks about TiP ToP. Pupils need to identify where and why paragraphs are needed in two different texts (worksheets included). Also included is a planning task where pupils need to plan their paragraphs and topic sentences for a piece of non-fiction writing.
