Personification Task Cards

These task cards are a great way for students to have fun while learning about different examples of personification.

This activity has students visually seeing a picture and determining what phrase it is. The following examples of personification are included:

The rude alarm clock woke me up
My feet are tired
The clock shouted the time
The tree limbs reached out and grabbed me
The sun rays reached out and welcomed me
The trees were dressed in snow
The wind whistled a tune
My heart raced
My laptop died
The cupcake called my name
The leaves danced in the wind
The flower begged for water
The sun peeked through
The wave attacked/swallowed the boat
