Phase 3 Letters and Sounds Segmenting and Blending Quick Reading Activities

This Phase 3 resource follows the Letters and Sounds order of teaching. Each sheet contains real and alien decodable words with a sentence or two at the end. Each page features a new phoneme. The words and sentences are in the open dyslexia font.

Students read the decodable words and can add sound buttons if they wish. Alien words are indicated by a picture of an alien. Finish by reading the sentence at the end.

Phonemes included are:

4 pages for set 6: j, v, w, x

3 pages for set 2: y, z/zz, qu

4 pages for consonant digraphs: ch, sh, th, ng

16 pages for vowel digraphs*: ai, ee, igh, oa, oo, ar, or, ur, ow, oi, ear, air, ure, er.

Includes /ow/(cow) and /ow/(snow) as well as long /oo/ and short /oo/ on seperate pages.

Tricky words needed for these sheets: the, he, she, is, I to, said, was, of, my, me, and so.
