Goes through the history of the atom from Ancient Greece, John Dalton, JJ Thomson and finally the Rutherford experiment.
Animation shows the different paths the alpha particles took and enables the students to visualise how the different paths helped to explain the nuclear model and disprove the plum pudding.
Plenary is exam style questions with answers provided.
