Made to re-cap poetry terms, structure, and getting the students to think creatively about poetry. I have used this with Year 9, 10, 11 and 12 as poetic terms never change and the students higher up can simply access the creative tasks to a higher level. Students have always been very engaged and have also learned a lot from it.
I teach this lesson as a team game. Students are in groups of 4 to work through the rounds and we keep track of points as we go. This takes at least 1 lesson, and could take longer depending on the ability/creativity of your students.
