Created by an experienced English teacher, this zip file contains 16 PowerPoint lessons, each at least an hour’s worth of teaching including the following: 1 PowerPoint per poem; structured against the assessment objectives; YouTube links to contextualise each poem as well as recitals; practice exam questions; modelled responses; guidance on how to achieve the 9 to 1 success criteria.
An additional PowerPoint - ‘Comparative Skills’ - shows students how to structure their exam answer when comparing the different poems.
Each lesson has been tried and tested on Year 10 and 11 students since 2015.
