Private Peaceful at KS3

Private Peaceful is a fantastic way to teach students about the realties of war, at a time when politicians seek to glorify it.

This unit is ideally for Year 7 or mid ability Year 8. 18 lessons covering the whole of the text, focusing on writer’s use of language, how the writer uses structure, character analysis and creative writing opportunities. The unit of work is fully resourced with ppts, contextual information to illuminate understanding of the text, chapter extracts and more.
