Pumpkin Soup- Book study unit PLUS Math and Science activities

This is one my favorite books for Autumn/Fall. The pack accompanies the book ‘Pumpkin Soup’ by Helen Cooper but many of the differentiated activities can also be used as general Fall or Halloween activities.

Literacy/ Book activities:

Sequencing cards in color and blackline to help teach your students sequencing and story retelling. These can be used in a pocket chart or can be put in a center.

Graphic organizers for summarizing the story, settings and problems and solutions and beginning, middle and end.

Various worksheets for recipe writing and writing instructions.

A comprehension worksheet.

Various writing activities such as an eight page writing book to write a sentence for each sequential story picture, opinion writing about their favorite part of the story, retelling the story writing worksheet, cut and paste sequence sheets and what happens next drawing and writing worksheets

Science activities:

Parts of a Pumpkin posters in color and blackline and accompanying differentiated worksheets.
