Puppet Making inspired by the Midnight Fair Book

Working with a Primary School I developed these Puppet Making Workshops based on the whole school topic of the Midnight Fair Book. Delivering the Workshop to all years, one whole year group in the morning and another in the afternoon over three days every child has made a puppet. Card, Foam and water based glue. We discuss light, especially at night, luminosity, radiance, vividness, phosphorescence how and why things seem to shine, glow, glimmer. Contrast and Silhouettes, abstract art. I combine this with a talk on my Puppetry Career as a Maker and Puppeteer. Our work today with Channel Five’s Milkshake Monkey, BBC Justin’s House. Basic Tuition in how to learn to Puppeteer.
