I run a puzzle of the month competition at school. I put the puzzle on display outside of the maths classrooms but also encourage teachers to show the presentation as a starter in their lessons.
Students place their entries into a post box outside of my classroom and a winner is randomly picked out of all the correct entries. I award all entries with housepoints, with extra being awarded if they were correct.
Feel free to use how you will, at the very least there will be some engaging maths problems for you to use, with answers attached.

This is an excellent idea! I am not sure if I will run it as a competition monthly but it is easily adaptable and the puzzles are great for getting students thinking.<br /> <br /> All ages and abilities should be able to access these puzzles and it will interesting to see how different ages/groups approach the problems
