RE SMART & PPT "Why does Easter matter to Christians?" DIGGING DEEPER UC 6 lessons + all resources

This unit is a series of six lessons and all resources for the UC Salvation Unit “Why does Easter matter to Christians?” These lessons are based on UC DIGGING DEEPER planning. The CORE LEARNING unit is available to buy as well on TES.

Each lesson starts with a sticky knowledge retrieval quiz and vocabulary activity.
Activities include reading of Easter bible story; freeze frame drama of Easter story; Jesus as “bridge” drama; Easter story tableaux; look at Easter traditions; photos of ways that Churches help people; discussion task based on Hans Wilhelm’s story Let’s be Friends Again!; forgiveness and emotions activity set to calm and angry music; group discussion on Why is forgiveness important to Christians?; footprints “standing in someone else’s shoes” activity; letter of forgiveness; and final mindmap looking at the big question Why does Easter matter to Christians?

Lessons include videos, group/partner discussion, group tasks, individual tasks and making links to children’s own lives. All resources are included, and there is a printing requirement list for the whole unit. Please note - the SMART and PowerPoint contain the same content, but you need Notebook software to open SMART.
