This script was used to act out a Roman banquet with the whole class. We then used the drama as a stimulus for a story written in a historical context. The drama was used to plan each section of the story and then pupils had to create their own ending, which is why the scripts ends with a 'freeze'.
To carry out the script, we assigned everyone to their roles first and had a brief walk through, before acting it out in character. The teacher played the emperor to lead the drama.
