A set of activities to support the teaching of Room on the Broom, using a colouful semantics approach, starting with images from the text for children to verbally rehearse who, what, when, where sentences before applying these ideas in independent captions. There are also 2 differentiated worksheets with sentence stems to support SEND children. There is a character description task and a simple CSM sheet that we use with talk partners to generate ideas as well as an end of week task, where children apply their adjective practice to describe the mud monster from the end of the story.
