Cool. Nice little activity to have a go at solving equations graphically. Note that the equations are given by two points rather than explicitly but this could easily be changed if desired.
This is an excellent activity to consolidate solving simultaneous equations graphically. Students are given coordinates to draw a straight line and find the point of intersection with another line. You could easily extend this activity by giving students the equation of the lines rather than coordinates to join up. As suggested you could bring in speed using Pythagoras. You could then return to this example when solving simultaneous equations algebraically. Great, thank you for sharing such a good idea.
