They will examine the complex interplay of nationalism, military modernization, and economic ambitions that drove Japan’s aggressive foreign policy and led to significant conflicts in Asia, including the Sino-Japanese Wars and the establishment of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.
