Designed to assess the phonics knowledge of a Year 1 child who has significant speech delay but is clearly beginning to read. These words have been taken from the 2024 Phonics screening paper. The child decodes the word and selects the correct image to show they can read the word. This was the recommended approach suggested by the Speech and Language Therapist. It took me a long time to make so hope it can help someone else.
