This activity is designed for KS1 children to practice recognising and working with shapes (circles, triangles, and diamonds) and numbers under 20.
Use as a complete lesson or as an assessment tool of learning.
Children will read and follow simple instructions, such as finding shapes with certain numbers, colouring them in specific colours, and performing basic addition and comparison tasks. Children can work together if preferred.
The activity encourages lots of thinking skills e.g. identifying odd and even numbers, comparing values, and following directions.
The activity is interactive, allowing children to share their work, discuss their strategies, and mark each other’s answers.
A completed sheet is provided for reference.
