This is a one page hand out you can use as a cover lesson or as a starting point for a series of art and design lessons looking at street and protest art. Shepard Fairey is perhaps best known for his Obama Hope poster design.

The lesson is broken down into:
Context; giving a brief overview of Fairey.
Task; includes example words the students may like to use as the basis for their design.
Character, underlines the soft skills the students will be using alongside their designing skills .
Equipment; covers what they’ll need from you and what to grab out of their pencil cases.
Assessment; 3 key areas the students can use to self and peer assess their work are included and could be your plenary, or a starter prior to moving on to further related work.
