As we approach the exam, I wanted to prepare the pupils for potential unseen essay questions they may encounter in the exam and to move away from the attitude that they can “learn” an essay and hope it comes up on the day. Each resource contains some general guidance linked to unpacking the essay question, a partially populated table designed to encourage them to choose the appropriate and most suitable evidence from the poem for each question, and an example paragraph.
