★★ NOTE: Included with this product is a photograph of the "ship" I create in my classroom. To understand thoroughly what it was like to be transported on a slave-trade ship, I have about 12 students sit crowded into that area of the floor in the classroom. I then have them link arms to simulate the cramped quarters of the ship. They stay in the "ship" for about 5 minutes and they begin to very much understand the close quartered conditions !
