Differentiated questions on solving linear equations from 2 terms up to four term with brackets. The idea is for students to gain as many points as possible. Difficulty of question is indicated by amount of points on offer. Easy way to show differentiation of a task: 'Bill, you must get 20 points by end of this lesson. Ben, you must get 30 points by end of this lesson.&' Cheers, Michael

Thank you. I hope you don't mind but on my copy I've altered a few to include some where the coefficient of x is negative for 10 points.

A standard worksheet on solving equations that becomes a handy resource when used as suggested - setting students challenges of how many 'points' they need by the end of the lesson. This is a simple but effective way of differentiating questions. This is definitely worth a look - even just to get an idea of how to incorporate this into your own worksheets.
