This resource is a fun hands-on St Patrick’s Day themed activity that uses the binary number system to create St Patrick’s Day mini images.
The images are; rainbow, 4-leaved clover, horseshoe, number ‘17’, Pot of Gold, unicorn, harp and a hat
Students will devour these and be wanting more! By then they will have a beginning understanding of the binary number system.
Binary numbers are an essential part of understanding how computing works. Understanding binary numbers is not only learning within the digital curriculum and helping students become 21st Century learners, but they are also a core element of maths knowledge and learning about different counting systems.
