Suffolk Chamber of Commerce C140 Educational Pack

The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce proudly presents the C140 project’s Educational Pack– a comprehensive resource designed for young people (aged 11 to 18) to learn about Suffolk’s rich heritage, the importance of business networks, and the county’s commitment to diversity and innovation.

Centring on the project’s themes of Diversity, Trade & Infrastructure, History & Heritage, and The Future, the pack includes a variety of content and tools such as:

• Historical Stories: Accounts of significant figures and events, like the arrival of the Maharajah Duleep Singh and the development of the Orwell Bridge.

• Digital Resources: Links to our project’s digital resources, such as our in-depth animation timeline, that visually narrate the evolution of Suffolk business over the past 140 years.

• Reflective Moments: Explore questions that inspire critical thinking and conversation about the impact of diversity, innovation and collaboration on our local community and economy.

This pack is a fantastic tool for educators and students alike, fostering an appreciation for Suffolk’s dynamic business history and inspiring future generations to join us on the journey of the last 140 years and into the future!
