Swansea University Science for Schools Scheme has been offering STEM enrichment activities to widen access to the sciences for a decade. To celebrate ten years of delivery we making all our STEM enrichment content open access to teachers. This includes an archive of more than 150 hands on science experiments, workshops, teacher notes, activities, videos and worksheets all aligned to the science curriculum in Wales. You can access content at the web site above.

Resources including hands-on practical lessons, experiments, videos, teacher notes and worksheets covering topics such as earth science, biology, geography, chemistry and physics.

Also featured on the platform are links to Wildlife Biologist Lizzie Daly’s Earth Live Lessons, which cover earth and conservation topics such as coral reef ecology, whale shark biology and urban wildlife in our cities. A-level students can make use of Swansea University’s Global Problems Podcasts with accompanying A-Level worksheets and activities.

Educators will be able to access all the resources needed to teach S4’s huge workshop collection such as Space Spectacular which explores space and constellations and contains three hands-on workshops ‘What happens to your body in Space?’, ‘What’s in the night sky?’ and ‘What colour is Space?.

The resources are free and can be accessed by signing up to S4’s Platform from Wednesday 3rd May 2023.
